One of the oldest tavernas in town is closing up!
Hope it is not true!!! Hope they can come to an agreement.
Kavouris is one of the few still old fashioned looking tavernas left!
They have excellent home made food and
are very good on ouzo or tziporou meze!

From Wikipedia; “Tsipouro (Greek: τσίπουρο) is a pomace brandy from Greece and in particular Thessaly, Epirus, Macedonia, and the island of Crete (where Cretans call it tsikoudia). Tsipouro is a strong distilled spirit containing 40-45% alcohol by volume and is produced from the pomace (the residue of the wine press). It comes in two types: pure and anise-flavored.”

This time of the year one always meet friends around,
there are so few tourists so the locals are easily seen, like;

The food at Kavouris is great, here are what we had;

I had cabbage rolls with egg-lemon sauce

The boys had stuffed chicken roll

After lunch I walked home alone and here are the pics;

171010 061cJust had to show you this photo again, bigger,
soooo nice with a chair to rest on!

Did you ever wonder why there are so many water bottles around town?

Here comes the very derelict house, getting worse and worse,
but still beautiful,
– and at the end of the tunnel is a wonderful restored house!

I love walking around in town!

I am making the new page here the day before and can just program it to be published around 7 in the morning, I do not have to get up for that! One of the luxuries in my life is that I do not need to have an alarm on in order to get up in the morning, I get up when I wake up! That is mostly around 7 – 8 but it depends what I did the evening before.
Now I started to watch TV again, and last night
was classic movie Basic Instinct! Just great!

So you better have a good day!
All the best from Skopelos ;o)
